Finding the right stock photos for an online project, advertising
copy or even for personal use is not all that easy. Sometimes you
just need one picture but you have to pay for many.
Some people need stock photos in a digital format, some need them in
a standard format. The better online sources for stock photographs
usually offer photos in several formats so as to make it easier
for different users to find what they need.
Lot's of smaller companies do their own ad copy in house and don't
have big budgets to purchase large stocks of photos. Find a good
source for single photos or small batches and you will be the
hit of your office.
We find the the best and easiest format is to be able to download your
purchase immediately. This way there's no waiting to finish your
project and you look good to your managers and partners.
We do suggest that you either get a hard copy CD from the company you
purchased the photos from or if you have access to a rewriteable CD
rom drive that you make a hard copy for yourself. Most people these days
have a CD rom in their local machine so use it wisely.
Another subject that has to be addressed is royalty fee's. Some place charge
a fee for each use, some just sell the photos without any royalty fee's, (they
basically are factored into the cost of the photos) and other's a one time fee.
So we suggest you check out each venders license agreement.
Always obtain and keep on file a copy of the vendors license agreement for the use
of the purchase stock. If there is ever a problem you will be covered and as long
as the vendor is reputable they will have no problem's either.
Almost all photos and photograhpy is copyrighted and someone has the rights to it's
use. If a photographer created a piece of work then they are entitled to royalty
fee's for that work. Sometimes photos are sold with no stipulations on it's use
so it is unlimited, other items are sometimes limited.
Web designers are always in need of stock photos, clipart or other elements needed to
design a website. It's always nice to find a source of photos that you can download
instantly and not have to worry about holding up a project. We have links to great sources

Advertisers and print companies are always in search of new and accessible stock photo
CD's. Some companies have the luxury of having their own inhouse photographers and editors
but for those who don't a source from the internet is a great find. We will try and help
find some good sources for those that need them in a hurry.
